Maybe it's just me, but I want to enjoy games to it's full capacity and not a tuned-down version. Because of this, utilizing distance-based damage scaling cannot even be maxed out (example: ).I discovered that on console I had smaller FoV compared to PC.I always falled back to close range classes like the Barbarian and Crusader because of the lack of aim precision with ranged classes.I have the most console experience with D3, which I felt completely OK until I realized some shortcomings: Currently playing D4 beta on PC and tried the console version. Also tried D2R on console, but then decided to buy it for PC.I've played D3 both on console(only solo) and PC.Yes, it's very cozy to just melt in a couch while smashing stuff,Īltough you possibly wont be disappointed playing it on a console, unless online features will be as laggy as someone else noted that for D3. When you are ready to upgrade your desktop or laptop to gaming standard, then consider it as an alternative option. I haven't played the beta so can't speak to the new game at all, but, as a long time fan and player, I think if you have the console, stick to it. I also had many more friends on console who played than PC, simply because there was parity in everyone's playing experience, since we all had equal gear rather than "Todd" with his $3000 Alienware and "Phil" with his refurbished bargain bin Dell. With that said, I still enjoyed it immensely on console and just had to learn to play differently. It generally works, but when you want precision, like slowing an elite behind the cannon fodder with a blizzard (for example) you don't get that degree of accuracy. On console, you point in a direction and shoot the closest baddie in that area. I personally preferred the feel on PC because I could directly and more accurately aim attacks with the mouse. Just got my Series X and haven't tried it on there, yet, but it's probably more of the same. I've played all previous Diablos on PC, and D3 on Xbox 360 and One (I probably spent $300 on multiple versions of the game. The PC is still the master race and mouse and keyboard cannot be beat by a controller IMO. Couch coop is also seriously fun which is another ticket for console. If you are on a budget an Xbox gets you 60fps 4K gaming and if you wait with the PRO version probably more. AMD is launching there new GPUs this month and they will be powerful and cheaper for the performance than Nvidia. Even in a game like Diablo that works great on a controller there are just some builds that are more finely to make work. That all said, I am a PC gamer and no matter how hard I try the mouse a keyboard is just superior for me. However, rumours are the pro versions are coming so if it’s for Diablo 4 wait a little longer if you can. It looks great, is very quiet and IMO perform a better. Diablo 3 plays very well on console so I assume 4 will be the same.įrom a console perspective I like the Xbox more. The beauty of Diablo 4 based on what we haven’t been told I is that you can play your characters on any platform. I have PC/Xbox and PS5 although about to sell the PS5. From character builds and skills to lore and theories, we have it all covered. Welcome to the un official Diablo 4 subreddit!
